International Product & Project Manager

KWS Group Einbeck Full-time

For KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA we are looking for a Product & Project Manager (m/f/d) to support our international corn team. As Product & Project Manager (m/f/d) you will be working in the frame of portfolio management, and of projects with focus on new corn hybrids (mainly during their phase of application for registration, in any European country) as contribution to KWS progress in corn. The main working location is in Einbeck (Lower Saxony/Germany), furthermore this exciting and diversified position will be permanent and full-time.

Your tasks – challenge meets responsibility:

  • Steering and dealing of project activities with aspects of variety positioning, intending to discover, and quantify, a hybrid’s possible contribution to sustainability topics like stress tolerance, disease tolerance, adaptation to agroclimatic zones as well as to cropping systems of corn
  • Focus on new corn hybrids, mainly during their phase of application for registration
  • Defining yield trials in our internal trial station network, but also in collaboration with external services, taking observations, uploading such data, and evaluating them
  • Explanation, communication (transfer) of the outcome of the evaluation into interfaces like marketing, sales, and breeding

Your profile – competence meets personality:

  • Scientific degree in agriculture, agricultural engineering, biology, geography, or a comparable course of study
  • Several years of professional experience is an advantage
  • Process orientation, motivation, and perseverance
  • Strong passion for breeding and plants with analytical skills
  • High interpersonal and intercultural communication across regional and cultural borders
  • Computer literacy (MS Office), knowledge of biostatistics is a plus
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English, other additional language skills, eg. in Russian, German, French or Spanish are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 60% in summer) on an international level
