When I was searching for my first job in Germany, I was already an experienced recruiter but didn't speak German, which is crucial in HR and recruitment. So, I asked myself, where can I find a job where only English is required? That's when I realised that IT recruitment might be the perfect fit. I checked out some job listings, completed an IT Recruitment course, and voila, within 10 days I landed my first job offer. A year later, I was appointed as the Talent Acquisition Partner at a startup. The lesson I learned? Sometimes, all it takes is a small shift in direction to get where you want to be in no time.
