Short answer: Apply now. On 19 October 2026, six of eight Technology Analyst ads were open. London and Birmingham were not in Accenture’s feed. Accenture publishes no deadline and closes each ad “once we receive enough applications”. You pick one office. The form takes about 15 minutes, with no CV. Then come the untimed Discovery Portal and two interviews, with no coding test. London pays £40,000, the other offices £36,400, each plus a £7,200 signing bonus.

Where these facts come from
  • Start dates. Start dates run from September 2027 to August 2028. The ads say they “are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.”
  • Degree. You must be “in the final year of your degree, or have already graduated”. The Support Hub says “Our graduate programmes do not have a minimum degree classification requirement.”
  • Office days. “A minimum of three days per week”, and you “must live within commuting distance”. Project work may take you to client sites “across the UK, sometimes more than three days a week, depending on business needs”.
  • First roles. They vary by office. Most list Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Quality Engineer, DevOps or Project Manager. Leeds lists Interaction Designer and Product Owner too.
  • Holiday. “25 days of vacation per year, plus bank holidays and the opportunity to accrue up to an additional 5 days’ leave through overtime.”

03/10

What Accenture looks for

You don’t need to code. The ads ask for “a genuine passion for technology and the systematic mindset to grow passion into potential”.

Analytical thinking

Show it by: a time you used data to answer a real question.

Interest in how tech solves problems

Show it by: a tech change you followed and the problem it fixed.

Curiosity and a growth mindset

Show it by: a skill you taught yourself, and what came next.

Adapting as projects change

Show it by: a time plans changed and you adapted fast.

Solving problems with others

Show it by: a team problem you helped to solve.

A systematic mindset

Show it by: a messy task you broke into clear steps.

Leeds and Newcastle only: “graduates from STEM degrees or degrees with STEM or analytical modules are preferred”.

What Accenture says, in its own words
  • No code. “you don’t need to be able to code, and you won’t need technical skills to apply”.
  • Traits. All eight ads ask for “Analytical thinkers” who “Have a strong interest in how technology solves problems”. They want “Problem solvers who enjoy collaborating to get things done”.
  • Leeds adds “Passion for designing creative digital solutions”.
  • Newcastle adds “Confident using AI tools to accelerate analysis and produce high-quality outputs”.

04/10Stage 1 · Apply

How to apply

Apply now. Accenture publishes no deadline for Technology Analyst.

Each ad says: “We don’t post application deadlines as we will close the application window once we receive enough applications, so apply promptly to avoid disappointment.”

So an ad can close on any day.

3

Fill in the form

About 15 minutes, no CV

4

Submit

As soon as you can

The form asks about your degree, work experience, training courses and right to work. There is no CV, cover letter or motivation question.

Three form questions to check before you start
  • Right to work, outside London. The seven regional forms open with: “To be considered for this role, you need to have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions.” Its note rules out “2 Year Graduate Visas, a Skilled Worker Visa from another Employer”. London’s form does not ask this.
  • Newcastle. Every form except Newcastle’s asks: “If your preferred home office location is unavailable, would you consider Newcastle as a home office location?”
  • Office days. All eight ask you to confirm “a minimum of 3 days a week, potentially up to 5 days depending on business needs”. If you do not agree, Accenture “will be unable to progress your application”.
Your office, the form, replies, adjustments and scams
  • Your office is fixed. The Hub says “you will only be offered a role in the office you applied for”.
  • The 6-month question. The form asks if you applied to Accenture “in the UK or Ireland within the last 6 months”. So Ireland counts.
  • UK residence. The form asks about “5 years’ continuous physical residence in the UK”, for security clearance. The Hub says “sometimes we may need to limit the number of candidates employed who do not meet the criteria”.
  • Your circumstances. Accenture says “We will take genuine mitigating circumstances into account”. Diversity questions are optional and “not visible to those assessing your suitability”.
  • Replies. Accenture aims to reply “within 2- 3 weeks”.
  • Adjustments. These include extra time or a set interview time. Ask “as soon as possible”. Accenture says these talks are confidential and “would have no impact on the outcome of your application”.
  • Scams. Accenture “will never ask for payment to interview or work with our company”.

Your form answers: do and don’t

Do

“Part-time sales assistant, 2024 to 2026. Trained four new starters.”

The form asks for your work experience. Give the role, the dates and one result.

Your ad closed? Your options
  • Another office. Other Technology Analyst ads may still be open. The regional offices cannot sponsor visas.
  • Software Engineering. The Software Engineering ads cover all eight offices. On 21 October 2026, only London gave a deadline. London closes on 30 October 2026. All add a coding test.
  • Case study routes. AI & Data and Digital Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain list no deadline. Both add a case study.
  • Program and Project Management. The Newcastle ad lists no deadline. Its visa row says “No”.
  • Consulting and Strategy. The Consulting Analyst ads were listed to close on Friday 16 October 2026. The Strategy Analyst ad was listed to close on Friday 16 October 2026.
  • One role a year. The ads say “You can only apply for one role in one location each year”. The Hub adds: “If you are unsuccessful, you will need to wait 6 months before reapplying to the same or any other programme at Accenture (including regional offices).”
  • Ireland. Accenture Ireland’s Dublin graduate ads close on 25 October 2026. None is for Technology Analyst.
  • Penultimate year. Accenture’s Technology placements include a Technology Analyst pathway. Accenture said in a live stream that internships would open on 19 October. Check the placements page to see if they are open.
  • Next year. Accenture has not published a date.
  • Other firms. See our guides to McKinsey and BCG.

05/10Stage 2 · Online test

The Discovery Portal

There is no technical or coding test for Technology Analyst. The ads say: “Don’t know how to code? No problem! You won’t need to complete any technical assessments for this role.”

The Hub sets a coding test only for Software Engineering. Your one test is the Discovery Portal, which Accenture calls “bespoke to Accenture”. It also says: “You cannot prepare for the assessments”. It names no test provider.

The portal is not timed. Accenture recommends that you “put aside 60 – 90 minutes”, somewhere quiet, ideally in one sitting. Everyone gets “a personal feedback report – whether you pass or not”. Accenture runs weekly live chats for candidates at this stage.

What Accenture says about its Discovery Portal online assessment, next to what it does not say. Accenture says the portal is not timed, that you should set aside 60 to 90 minutes, ideally in one sitting, and that everyone who completes it gets a feedback report. Accenture does not name a test provider, publishes no practice test, publishes no pass mark and does not publish this year's question types. Accenture says you cannot prepare, so plan a quiet 90 minutes on a laptop.
Accenture’s own answers about the portal. It names no test provider. (click to enlarge)
What the portal covered last cycle
  • Accenture’s older profile. Accenture’s profile on targetjobs is from last cycle. It uses older programme names, so this year’s portal may differ.
  • Skills. That profile says the portal assessed “analytical skills, collaboration, initiative and growth mindset”.
  • Questions. It lists “situational judgement, data interpretation and numerical reasoning questions”, “positioned through Video, Animation and Imagery”.

Accenture’s set-up advice

Accenture recommends

  • A laptop or desktop, in full screen
  • Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox
  • One sitting, somewhere quiet
  • Picking up where you left off if your connection drops

Accenture asks you to avoid

  • AI where the instructions say not to use it
  • Pop-up blockers left on
  • A phone. It works, but Accenture strongly recommends a laptop

On AI, Accenture says “we encourage the use of Generative AI when appropriate”. But “in the majority of the assessment process we request your authentic participation”. So read each instruction before you start a section.

06/10Stage 3 · Interviews

Accenture interviews

Two interviews, and neither tests your coding. First a virtual Task Based Interview, then an in-person interview with a manager.

Task Based InterviewOnline, about 45 to 60 min

Client scenarios · Your approach · On camera, business-casual

Business Strengths InterviewIn person, about 50 to 60 min

Your natural strengths · What motivates you · Then your questions

No case study and no coding test for Technology Analyst. The Hub adds “an additional case study interview” only for Strategy, AI & Data and Digital Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

The ads list “One interview with a recruiter” and “One interview with a manager from the business area you applied to”.

What Accenture says about each interview
  • The scenarios. You “review written, video and audio content depicting different client challenges”, says Accenture’s Task Based Interview page.
  • Preparing. “It is not necessary to prepare for this interview”. But it suggests “reading our client case studies on the Accenture website”.
  • Booking and camera. You pick the slot, so book early. “The dress code is business-casual.” Feedback comes by email.
  • No GenAI. For this interview, Accenture asks “that you do not use GenAI”.
  • The final interview. The Hub says “face to face interviews with a Manager or Managing Director from our business”. It “lasts approximately 50-60 minutes”, then you can ask questions.
  • Support. Accenture asks you to “look out for our weekly digital chat sessions with recruiters”. Live Q&A sessions also run before the final interview.
Accenture's two interviews for Technology Analyst, side by side. The Task Based Interview is online with your camera on, with a recruiter, about client scenarios, and lasts about 45 to 60 minutes. The Business Strengths Interview is in person, with a manager from the area you applied to, about your strengths and motivation, and lasts about 50 to 60 minutes. Software Engineering adds a coding test. Strategy, AI and Data and Digital Engineering add a case study. Technology Analyst has neither. Accenture says you need not prepare, but suggests reading its client case studies.
Both interviews are about you. Technology Analyst has no coding test and no case study. (click to enlarge)

How to answer

Task Based Interview

Accenture wants to see “your working style or how you might overcome a client challenge”. This answer frame is ours:

Clarify

Note the client’s goal and the key facts as you review.

Options

Give two ways forward, then pick one.

Reasons

Say why, with the client, the users and the team in mind.

Check

Say what you would test, and when you would change course.

Strengths interview

Accenture explores “your natural strengths and what motivates you”. Prospects, a UK careers service, advises: “Emphasise activities that energise you, not just those you can do well”.

Your moves

  • Prepare four to six varied stories, as Prospects suggests.
  • Say what energised you, not only what you did.
  • Answer honestly. There is often no right answer.

The moves are ours, built on Accenture’s words and Prospects’ general guide.

See our guides on how to pass a job interview and the toughest interview questions.

Practise: scenario questions

Our own scenarios, built from Accenture’s account of the role. They are not Accenture’s questions.

Testing an app

“Two days before launch, you find a bug in a client’s new app. What do you do?”

What they’re testing: judgement and clear reporting under pressure.

Show a strong answer
  • Write down the steps to repeat it. Tell your lead the same day, with how many users it affects. Offer options: fix and retest, or launch without that feature.

New platform

“After a move to a new cloud platform, the client’s staff keep using the old system. What do you do?”

What they’re testing: solving a people problem, not only a tech one.

Show a strong answer
  • Ask a few users what stops them. Fix the quick blockers and show a short demo. Track use each week and report back.

Delivery plan

“A supplier is late, and the client asks if the go-live date still holds. What do you say?”

What they’re testing: honesty and a systematic mindset.

Show a strong answer
  • Check the real impact before you answer. Give the facts, a likely new date and how you will protect it. Agree when you will update them.

AI and data

“An AI tool gives you a quick number for a client report. It looks too good. What do you do?”

What they’re testing: using AI tools to produce “high-quality outputs”, as the Newcastle ad puts it.

Show a strong answer
  • Check the number against the source data before you share it. Explain any gap and fix the method. Tell the team what you found.

Practise: strengths questions

Prospects lists these as typical strengths questions. They are a general guide, not Accenture’s questions. The answer tips are ours.

Energy

“What energises you?”

What they’re testing: what you enjoy, not only what you can do.

Show a strong answer
  • Name one activity. Give a recent example, then say why it gives you energy.

Working style

“Do you prefer the big picture or the small details?”

What they’re testing: how you like to work. There is no right answer.

Show a strong answer
  • Pick one honestly and give an example. Then show you can handle the other side when needed.

Pride

“When did you achieve something you’re really proud of?”

What they’re testing: what success means to you.

Show a strong answer
  • Choose a result you drove. Say what you did, what changed and why it mattered to you.

Self-awareness

“What do you enjoy doing the least?”

What they’re testing: honesty about yourself.

Show a strong answer
  • Be honest, but pick a task the role does not centre on. Say how you still get it done well.

Visa sponsorship

Only London can consider visa sponsorship for Technology Analyst. But its ad was not in Accenture’s job feed when we checked on 19 October 2026. Accenture’s graduate visa table lists London as “Yes – subject to UKVI restrictions”. It lists the seven regional offices as “No”.

No

The seven regional offices

Sep 2027

The policy covers hires from then

Source: Accenture’s Team Visa Sponsorship Policy – as of October 2026, read on 15 October 2026.

Accenture’s conditions, in its own words
  • The seven “No” offices. Accenture “is not able to progress applications from candidates who: Are on a Graduate visa, or Do not already have the right to work in the UK.”
  • London, no guarantee. Accenture “can consider Skilled Worker Visa (SWV) sponsorship” there, but it “cannot guarantee you will be eligible for sponsorship”.
  • Salary rules. UK salary thresholds must be met “at both the application and visa extension stages”.
  • The risk. “If salary thresholds are not met at any stage, Accenture may need to withdraw an offer or end employment if you lose your right to work in the UK.”
  • Rules can change. Sponsorship also depends on “UK immigration rules in force at the time of your start date – these can change”.

On a Student visa? The regional forms ask for the right to work “with no restrictions”. Check with Accenture before you apply to a regional office.

On a Graduate visa? GOV.UK says it lasts “2 years if you apply on or before 31 December 2026” and “18 months if you apply on or after 1 January 2027”. Only London can take you. Check when yours ends before you pick a start date.

See our guides to staying in the UK after studying and UK companies that sponsor visas. This is general information, so check GOV.UK.
