Capgemini Invent hires UK graduates through its Accelerate Programme, which has “nine unique pathways”. This playbook follows the Corporate Experience pathway, for graduates “curious about how organisations set direction, make decisions, prioritise investment and transform to deliver meaningful outcomes”. Capgemini says: “You can only apply for one Early Careers role per recruitment season (September to August).”

This playbook covers each stage in Capgemini Invent’s own words. For nearly 10 years, we’ve helped more than 5,000 professionals get hired. Want to know if your CV will pass screening in the UK? Check your CV for free: a score in 30 seconds, then a fix for each problem.

What Capgemini Invent looks for

The pathway page names five attributes. Have one short example ready for each.

Curiosity and a desire to learn

Show it by: something you taught yourself, and what you would do differently now.

Problem-solving skills

Show it by: a problem you broke into parts, and the choice you made.

Communication and collaboration

Show it by: your own part in a team result, told with “I”.

Adaptability and resilience

Show it by: a plan that changed late, and how you responded.

Ownership and initiative

Show it by: something you took on without being asked, and its result.

Interest in the work

Capgemini means “strategy, business transformation, organisational change and helping clients make better decisions”.

The ad adds: “While academic achievement is considered, we equally value potential, curiosity and mindset, which will be assessed throughout the recruitment process.” The pathway page says: “You don’t need to arrive with every skill or all the answers.”

The client questions you would work on

The pathway page lists eight client questions. Three of them:

  • “How do we translate strategy into action and make it stick?”
  • “Which investments will create the greatest value, and how should we prioritise them?”
  • “How will AI reshape organisations, workforces and operating models?”

Pick one that interests you. It gives you a ready answer to “why this pathway”.

04/10Stage 1 · Apply

How to apply

Apply now. Capgemini’s pathway page gives Friday 23 October at 17:00 BST as the closing date for September 2027 starts.

The ad adds: “Please note, due to high volumes of applications, this role may close earlier than advertised.”

Capgemini says: “Applications are reviewed on a first come first served basis, so please do apply as soon as you can.” Apply through the September 2027 Corporate Experience ad. When we checked, the pathway page’s Apply button still pointed to an older ad.

If your form goes through

The form covers “your chosen pathway, location, graduation date and preferred start date”. In the motivational questions, Capgemini says to “tell us what you want us to hear about you, especially any relevant knowledge and experience relating to the role”. No word limits are published.

Cover letter. Capgemini Invent’s process page asks for your “CV, cover letter and online application”. Capgemini’s group FAQ says: “A cover letter is not required for our applications.” Follow what the form asks, and have one ready.

Degree, timing, AI and disability
  • Your degree. The ad asks for “a minimum 2:2 degree”, finished before you start. Capgemini says “we do not screen out purely based on academic performance”. Mitigating circumstances: “please provide details in your application”.
  • Who September is for. “final-year students or those planning to start their career from August 2027 onwards”.
  • Your pathway. “it is important that upon application you ensure you are comfortable with the pathway that you select.”
  • AI. Capgemini says “Use AI to help you prepare”. But: “Please avoid relying on AI-generated responses, scripts or prompts during these stages.”
  • Disability Confident. The ad says “we will offer an interview to all candidates who: Declare they have a disability” and meet the minimum essential criteria. “Please opt in during the application process.”

Your CV: do and don’t

“Built a cost model for our society’s events. It showed which two to cut, and we saved 15% of the budget.”

Do

The ad asks you to “develop recommendations and business cases”. Show a skill it names, with a result.

Don’t

“Applied to Corporate Experience, then to Public Sector a week later”

Capgemini allows one Early Careers role per season. Pick your pathway before you start the form.

Missed the deadline? Your options
  • Another pathway. Eight other pathways posted ads this cycle, listed in The role at a glance. On 15 October 2026, all eight were live. You get one role per season, so this works only if you have not applied yet.
  • Register your interest. Capgemini says: “If you can’t find a role that suits you right now, please keep an eye out for future opportunities or alternatively you can register your interest”. Use its register interest form.
  • The next cycle. “Applications typically go live in September or October.” If you are turned down, “you will need to wait until the next recruitment cycle to reapply”. And “A previous rejection will not negatively impact your new application.”
  • Still at university. Capgemini Invent had no internship or placement ad when we checked on 15 October 2026.
  • A different programme. Capgemini’s technology-led Empower programme has its own ads. The one-role rule covers it too.
  • Other consulting schemes. See our guide to the McKinsey Business Analyst application.

05/10Stage 2 · Digital interview

No online test: the digital interview

Capgemini Invent has no online test. Its process page lists three steps: an application, a digital interview and an assessment centre.

Capgemini says: “Answer a series of questions while on camera. CV’s do not always tell the full story so we are excited to get to know the real you.” It is your chance “to demonstrate your passion for Capgemini Invent and the role that you have applied for”.

Capgemini names no platform and no test provider. It does not publish the number of questions, the timings or whether you can retake an answer.

Practice. Capgemini describes “a digital interview demo” with “mock digital interview questions”. It adds: “Don’t worry we won’t be reviewing the mock digital interview questions.” We found no public link to the demo.

What Capgemini Invent publishes about its digital interview, side by side with what it does not. Capgemini says you answer a series of questions on camera, so it can get to know the real you and you can show your passion for Capgemini Invent and the role. Notes are allowed, but you should not read from them. Capgemini does not name the platform or give the number of questions, the timings or whether you can retake an answer. It describes a demo with mock questions that it will not review.
