Short answer: Apply now. On 15 October 2026, three GSK Graduate Programme listings were open in the UK, all on the two-year Global Supply Chain programme. No closing date is published. Each closes once GSK has enough applications. You can apply to only one UK programme. Then come the seven-day GSK Digital Assessment, a video or technical exercise for some roles, and a half-day assessment centre.

GSK’s graduate programme in the UK starts in September 2027. The three UK listings we found on 15 October 2026 were all on one programme. GSK says “You can apply to only one GSK Graduate Programme in UK”. So your main decision is which listing to pick. GSK used to call this the Future Leaders graduate programme, as its 2022 careers page shows.

This playbook covers each stage in GSK’s own words, from picking a listing to the offer. For nearly 10 years, we’ve helped more than 5,000 professionals get hired. Want to know if your CV will pass screening in the UK? Check your CV for free: a score in 30 seconds, then a fix for each problem.

Step 2: the GSK Digital Assessment, online and interactive with a timed part, to complete within seven days. Step 3: a video interview or a technical exercise, for some roles only. Step 4: a half-day assessment centre with tasks, a group or paired exercise and an interview. Step 5: an offer if you succeed at the assessment centre, for a 2027 start. From GSK’s three UK ads and its graduate programme hub, read on 15 October 2026. MSAT is GSK’s manufacturing sciences and technology area. On that day, no business, commercial, research and development (R&D) or data science UK listing was live. GSK’s hub says “opportunities are posted throughout the year”, so watch for new listings.

What the programme involves
  • Two years. Each ad says “On our two-year Global Supply Chain Graduate Programme”, with rotations at your home site.
  • A breadth task. The ads list a “Kaizen Assignment: A short-term breadth assignment, which could include global-focused opportunities”.
  • Data in every rotation. “Digital Data & Analytics (DDA) Objective: Each rotation has a DDA focus”.
  • Training. GSK’s FAQ describes a “70/20/10 approach: 70% on-the-job training, 20% learning through mentoring, coaching and feedback, and 10% via formal training courses”.
  • Moving around. The ads ask for “Willingness to be geographically mobile (domestic) throughout rotations”.
  • Benefits. The ads list a relocation allowance, subject to eligibility, private healthcare, a share save plan and two volunteering days a year.

What GSK looks for

GSK wants genuine interest, a proactive approach and clear communication. Its FAQ says “Effective communication skills are essential”.

Genuine interest in your path

Show it by: one clear reason for your listing, tied to the work its ad describes.

Self-motivated and proactive

Show it by: something you started or fixed without being asked.

Effective communication

Show it by: a time you explained something technical to someone outside your field.

Patient outcomes

GSK wants “a strong ambition for improving patient outcomes”. Show it by: why supply to patients matters to you.

Accountability

GSK wants people “who take full accountability for their impact”. Show it by: a mistake you owned and fixed.

What each ad asks for, in its own words
  • Supply Chain. “Scientific and supply chain interest”, “Digital and data development”, “Accurate and structured working”, “Collaborative communication” and “Ownership and support”.
  • Chemical Engineering (MSAT). “Technical Aptitude”, “Continuous Improvement Mindset”, “Digital mindset”, “Problem-Solving Skills” and “Communication and Collaboration”, among others.
  • Engineering Multidiscipline. “Technical Aptitude”, “Continuous Improvement Mindset”, “Communication and Collaboration”, “Ownership and Support” and “Attention to Detail”, among others.
  • Degree subject. Each ad lists its own subjects. MSAT asks for “Chemical Engineering or related IChemE accredited degrees”. Engineering lists fields such as mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering.
  • Degree grade. GSK does not state one. All three ads ask for “Graduation by August 2027” and “Written and spoken fluency in English”.
  • Experience. The programme is for “graduates who don’t have significant previous professional work experience in the area”.

04/10Stage 1 · Apply

How to apply

Apply now. No closing date is published. Each ad says: “Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and this role will close once we have received enough applications. We recommend you apply as soon as possible.”

Each ad also says: “You can apply to only one GSK Graduate Programme in UK”. GSK’s FAQ adds: “We would like you to apply to just one country”.

A cover letter is optional

GSK’s video calls the form “a simple online questionnaire. It only takes a few minutes”. GSK warns: “If basic role qualifications are not met, your application may be automatically declined.”

Adjustments, fees and the job description
  • Save the ad. Each ad says: “Top tip #1: Save this job description.”
  • Adjustments. “If you require any support or reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process for any reason, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.”
  • No fees. “GSK never asks candidates to pay fees during the recruitment process.”
  • Minimum requirements. GSK’s FAQ says “Extenuating circumstances may be taken into account”.

Your CV: do and don’t

Do

“Redesigned a lab stock sheet. Cut missing-item reports from weekly to once a term.”

The ads ask for accurate, structured working and continuous improvement. Give each role a result you can show.

Don’t

Second, the Show us how you work tile. It is scored, you pick your language from a menu, GSK offers practice assessments before it, and there are no retakes in the current cycle. You have seven days to complete the assessment, and part of it is timed. Have a pen, paper and a calculator ready for notes and numerical questions. If you cannot finish every timed question, GSK says your results will still be considered.

Set-up, adjustments and retakes
  • Time. GSK’s video says “set aside about an hour so you can focus”. The application page adds: “You have seven days to complete it, so don’t delay.”
  • Kit. “Have a pen, paper, and calculator ready for notes and numerical questions.”
  • Report. GSK says “You’ll receive a report at the end of Thriving at GSK”.
  • Retakes. “In order to be fair to all candidates, we do not offer retakes for the current application cycle. However, you are welcome to apply again next year.”
  • Adjustments. Ask GSK before you start, as its application page invites.

GSK’s rules on generative AI

GSK says you can

  • Use it to structure your answers or CV
  • Use it to check your language and clarity
  • Use it as a preparation tool
  • Practise on AI interview preparation sites

GSK says don’t

  • Replace your original thoughts
  • Complete assessments of your personality and abilities
  • Get help in a live interview or assessment centre
  • Create false or misleading CV content

GSK’s application page says: “Use Gen AI to help you structure your responses or application documents, check your language and clarity, and use it as a preparation tool.” It also says: “Don’t use Gen AI to replace your original thoughts, to complete assessments designed to evaluate your personality and natural abilities, or to assist you in a live interview/assessment centre, as it impacts your authenticity and engagement”.

Gen AI means generative AI tools, such as chatbots. GSK’s FAQ adds: “Authenticity is crucial, and misrepresentation can lead to disqualification.”

06/10Stage 3 · Video, some roles

The video interview and GSK’s interview style

Some roles add a recorded video interview or a technical exercise. GSK’s video says it comes “before the final stage”.

GSK’s FAQ says: “For some roles, you may also be invited to complete a video interview and/or a technical assessment.”

GSK publishes no question count, answer time or length for the video. Its general hiring page asks for STAR answers, so prepare your stories that way.

GSK's last two stages side by side. Stage 3, for some roles only, is a recorded video interview or a technical exercise, before the final stage. Stage 4 is the assessment centre: half a day, held virtually or at a GSK site, with individual tasks, a group or paired exercise and an interview. Some programmes add a presentation or a practical or technical exercise. GSK says not to use generative AI in a live interview or assessment centre. Full details come in your assessment centre invitation.
