Capgemini UK hires graduates through its Empower Graduate Programme, and its roles share one process. The one live technology consulting ad on 15 October 2026 was the SAP Graduate Technology Consultant Programme 2027. On 21 October 2026, four other Empower roles had live ads. Capgemini says: “You can apply for only one role per recruitment season (September to August).”

This playbook covers each stage in Capgemini’s own words. For nearly 10 years, we’ve helped more than 5,000 professionals get hired. Want to know if your CV will pass screening in the UK? Check your CV for free: a score in 30 seconds, then a fix for each problem.

Capgemini's Empower graduate stages for the 2027 intake, in six steps. Step 1: the online application, with your CV and the form, for one role a season. Step 2: a digital interview with a series of recorded video questions. Step 3: a talent pool for assessment centre consideration, where places are limited. Step 4: a briefing call with guidance before the assessment centre. Step 5: the assessment centre, a group exercise and then a 1-to-1 interview, in person or virtual depending on the role. Step 6: feedback and the offer, then checks, with Security Check clearance for most roles. There is no online test. Capgemini says some business areas may follow a slightly different process.

The SAP ad showed “Apply now” and no closing date when we checked on 15 October 2026. On 21 October 2026, the other four showed “Apply now” and no closing date. We link each ad directly because the job search lags. You can also search the Capgemini careers site for 2027 roles. The Graduate Business Analyst 2027 ad had been taken down when we checked on 15 October 2026. An earlier SAP ad in Hove was also gone on 15 October 2026.

Security clearance. Every role in the table needs Security Check (SC) clearance, the ads say. See Visa sponsorship for the residence rule.

What the SAP role and the others involve
  • SAP, three tracks. Consulting: “Work with real clients to improve how their systems and processes run”. Technical: “Develop and enhance SAP applications and integrations”. Testing: “Design, prepare and run tests across key delivery stages”.
  • SAP, the client. The ad names “one of the UK’s largest public sector organisations”. You work in the office “up to 3 days a week”, on “a secure site”.
  • CX Analyst. The ad says it leads to “Business Analyst, Product Analyst and consulting roles”.
  • All Empower roles. The programme is “Built around six essential Power Skills”. Capgemini’s FAQ says “You join Capgemini on day one as a permanent full-time employee”.
  • Other consulting titles. Capgemini’s graduate page lists titles such as Business Analyst and SAP Consultant. Only SAP had a live UK ad on 15 October 2026. In August 2025 the page grouped Technology Consulting Roles for people “looking at working with technology, not building the technology”.

What Capgemini looks for

Capgemini’s FAQ names six traits. Have one short example ready for each.

Strong relationship-building

Show it by: a time you won someone’s trust and kept it.

An inquisitive, entrepreneurial mindset

Show it by: something you started or questioned, and what came of it.

Commitment to personal development

Show it by: a skill you taught yourself, and how you use it now.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving

Show it by: a problem you broke down, the options you weighed and your choice.

Communication and teamwork

Show it by: your own part in a team result, told with “I”.

Flexibility to travel

Capgemini means “including the ability to work away from home up to 5 days a week”.

At the assessment centre, Capgemini wants to see “our seven values in action”. Its values page lists them as “Honesty, Boldness, Trust, Freedom, Fun, Modesty, and Team Spirit”.

What the SAP ad asks for, in its own words
  • Technical track. “Degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a tech-related subject”.
  • Consulting and Testing tracks. “Any degree plus an interest in technology”.
  • Capgemini’s top tip. “The strongest applications feel personal.” It adds: “There’s no such thing as a perfect application.”

04/10Stage 1 · Apply

How to apply

Apply now. On 15 October 2026, no live ad showed a closing date. Capgemini’s FAQ says: “Some of our roles will have a published application closing date, while others may close early once we have received enough applications to meet demand.”

Capgemini’s process page says: “We recommend applying as soon as you’re ready, as some roles fill quickly.”

Roles opened “From 1st October” for graduates who already have their final classification. They opened “From 15th October” for final-year students. Capgemini says more roles are “released throughout the year”.

If your form goes through

The form asks “your preferences on: location, start date and role type”, says Capgemini’s brochure. Capgemini adds: “A cover letter is not required”. Capgemini asks for “detailed and thoughtful responses to the questions in the application form”.

Degree, AI, security questions and disability
  • Your degree. Every live ad asks for “a minimum 2:2 degree”. “There is no requirement to have graduated recently.” And “Holding an MSc does not give you an advantage over those with a BSc”.
  • One role. “If we think your skills might be a better fit elsewhere during the process, we’ll chat with you about it.”
  • AI. Capgemini is fine with AI for “practising interview questions, refining your answers and building confidence”. But: “Please avoid relying on AI-generated responses, scripts or prompts during these stages.”
  • Capgemini’s own AI use. Capgemini says it uses AI “where appropriate to streamline some of the processes”. But “Our recruitment team do not use AI to speed up the recruitment process”. It says “we hand select candidates to progress to the next stage.”
  • Security questions. The SAP ad says “you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality”.
  • Disability Confident. The SAP ad says “we will offer an interview to all candidates who: Declare they have a disability” and meet the minimum criteria.

Your CV: do and don’t

Do

“Logged and tracked 40 defects in Jira on a group app project. All were closed before the demo.”

The SAP Testing track asks you to “Record and track defects using tools such as Jira”. Show a skill the ad names, with a result.

Don’t

“Applied for SAP, then for UX a week later”

Capgemini allows one role per season. Pick your role before you start the form.

Your CV is the only document Capgemini asks for, since no cover letter is needed. Our CV achievement examples help you show a result for each skill. Role gone? Your options
  • Another Empower role. On 21 October 2026, four other roles had live ads, all in the table above. This works only if you have not applied yet.
  • More roles later. Capgemini says “Additional opportunities within the Empower Programme and across Capgemini are released throughout the year”. You can register your interest to hear when applications open.
  • Capgemini Invent. A different graduate programme, Accelerate, with “nine unique pathways”.
  • Still at university. See the Industrial Placement, Consulting or Technical routes 2027 ad. It is in Telford, for a September 2027 start. It was live when we checked on 21 October 2026. It pays “£26,230 pro rata”. “Applicants must be in their penultimate year of study”.
  • Not a graduate yet. Capgemini’s apprenticeships page lists its apprenticeships. Four new ads for September 2027 were posted on 15 October 2026.
  • The next cycle. “Applications typically go live in September or October.” And “A previous rejection will not negatively impact your new application.”
  • Other consulting schemes. See our guide to the McKinsey Business Analyst application.

05/10Stage 2 · Digital interview

No online test: the digital interview

Capgemini has no online test. Its process page, FAQs and brochure list an application, a digital interview and an assessment centre.

Capgemini says: “Through a series of video questions, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us more about your strengths, motivations and what excites you about building your future at Capgemini.” It also asks about “your understanding of the role and business area you’ve applied for”.

Its brochure adds: “You will answer a series of questions specific to the area you have applied to.” Capgemini does not name the platform. It does not publish the number of questions, the thinking time or whether you can retake an answer.

What Capgemini publishes about its digital interview, side by side with what it does not. Capgemini says it is a series of video questions about your strengths and motivations, and about the role and business area you applied for. Notes are allowed, but you should not read from them. Capgemini does not name the platform or give the number of questions, the thinking time or whether you can retake an answer. Capgemini says AI is fine for practice, but you should avoid relying on AI-written answers, scripts or prompts during the stage.
Capgemini gives the topics and the rules. It does not publish the platform or the timings. (click to enlarge)

Capgemini’s tips

  • Research Capgemini, its projects, clients, values and culture
  • Understand the role and tailor your answers
  • Give specific examples where possible
  • Refer to notes if you like
  • Use AI to practise questions

Capgemini says avoid

  • Reading directly from a sheet or screen
  • Repeating the same points across answers
  • Relying on AI-generated responses or scripts
  • Answers that drift off the question

Capgemini publishes no example questions for either. The practice prompts below are ours, built from its topic list.

How to answer

Why, How, What

Capgemini’s brochure gives three prompts for your motivation answers. Use them for “Why Capgemini?” and “Why this role?”

Capgemini also says “Avoid repetition”, so use a different story for each answer.

A group exercise, then a 1-to-1 interview. Capgemini describes “an immersive group exercise based on a real business challenge, followed by a 1-to-1 interview with the business area you’ve applied to”.

The talent pool

“Candidates who pass the Digital Interview stage will be added to our Talent Pool for Assessment Centre consideration.” Capgemini calls it “a pool for consideration only”.

The briefing call

Offer, checks and waiting
  • Checks. The SAP ad lists “Identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)”.
  • Waiting. “If you have not received any updates from us in a while, it does not mean that you have been unsuccessful.”
  • Day one. Capgemini says you start with “a one-week induction”.
  • Not this time. Capgemini says: “We strongly recommend reviewing and applying any feedback you received from the Assessment Centre”.

The SAP ad says: “To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.” It adds: “To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.” Ads read on 15 October 2026.
